Miras is the head god in the hirearchy of New Gods introduced by The Invaders. He is the god of light and arrows and described as the patron god of Costis. Most likely based off the Persian god Mithra or more likely the Greek/Roman variation Mithras, a god often connected to light, covenants, oaths, and often characterized by images of the god slaughtering a bull.

Costis mentions Miras when Eugenides' life is in danger.
